Happy Thursday Dolls!
Can you believe we're 3 weeks into 2014? It's mind boggling to me that today is Thursday as well. My whole week has been off kilter thanks to good 'ol MLK Day.
What also is crazy is the weather we're in experiencing in LA. I'm super grateful for blue skies and sunny days, but it feels a little odd being in the upper 70's low 80's in the middle of January! I took these photos 2 weeks ago, yes you read that correctly, these were taken the second week of January after returning home from back East.
Dr. D and I explored Griffith Observatory and thought it was the perfect opportunity to test out my new Canon T3i Rebel camera I got for Christmas. We're still working with the photo settings, but I must admit I do love how much better the clarity is on these!

Completely in love with this shot

We've been having chilly weather in South Florida, but I love it being an original Midwesterner. I got the T3i Rebel in October and am still trying to figure out more than just the auto setting.

I was born in the midwest but can't stand the snow! You're a bigger saint than I am :)
DeleteThe camera is AWESOME, but there's so many settings! I definitely have to watch some youtube videos or something to figure it out more.
How insane is our weather right now?! I can't get over it. And, while I enjoy it, I know we're also in the middle of our rainy season and there's been no rain :-/ So, water shortages and a dry, grey spring are the price we're gonna pay. But still.... Shorts in January! It's still pretty awesome.

I'm waiting for them to officially announce the drought is upon us. Rain is supposed to be headed our way later in the week which I'm kind of excited for! :)
DeleteThose photos are wonderful, really jealous of the cali weather lol

DeleteShorts in January...ha! Through next Wednesday our temps are supposed to be waaay below 0! Congrats on the feature! I'm way behind on comments on my blog and just responded to your question about the Jergen's lotion...but yes, it does work really well.

I hate to hear about such cold weather ... this El Nino effect is making everywhere cold except Southern California it seems! I can't wait to try out this lotion, thanks for the tip :)
DeleteThe weather has definitely been crazy everywhere. Even here in Hawaii which never changes much. Lately, it's been cold and rainy. I'm literally wearing a sweatshirt for the first time since I moved here five years ago!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up....loving that necklace and the watch.
