GRAPHIC TEE GIVEAWAY

Cheers to the Freakin' Weekend Ladies!

Granted most of us are still clocked in until 5 pm, but it's Friday and I fully intend on celebrating with my first ever GIVEAWAY! Brace yourselves because I'm truly obsessed with this prize, but first a little background.

I was at the Santa Monica Pub Crawl this past December with a group of my friends decked out in tacky Christmas sweaters galore. All of a sudden my pal Barry shows up in this ridiculously awesome t shirt.
Everyone kept stopping him to comment on it (apparently it was an inside Seinfeld joke ... which was totally over my head) but none the less, he had an awesome shirt.

After all the praise was over we started talking and I found out he actually made the shirt himself. I thought that was great and told him some ideas of t shirts I was contemplating making but wasn't sure where to get them done in LA. He offered right then and there to help a girl out and make my tee's!

I was so excited I immediately went home and started thinking of ideas. All in all this was the initial concept:

Plain and simple. Popular graphic tees I spotted on Pinterest to the left and movie quotes I love to the right.

And then this became my reality:

Now who wants to win one?!

I can't help but share my friend Barry's incredible generosity! Simply enter using the Rafflecopter below.

Want to score additional entries?
Follow me on Instagram and look for the giveaway image & follow the instructions.

The winner will be selected next Friday so make sure to check back :) We'll be in touch so you can tell me what color v neck, size and design you'd like!

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Sorry but at this time I will only ship to U.S. residents

Happiness Lately & Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Loves!

So much exciting stuff has happened over the past couple of days that I can't contain my happiness!

First and foremost Dr. D and I booked a trip to CABO SAN LUCAS! Woo freaking Hoo! I am so pumped for a week without my phone, laying out and getting my drink on! Oh and staring at this every single day! You bet your Prada I'll be living it up at the swim up pool bar!

Next I FINALLY took advantage of the super nice weather we've been having and spent an afternoon bronzing away in Santa Monica. This El Nino effect has brought nasty weather nationwide (as we all know) but someone has to take advantage of 80 degree days in January!

Lastly I'm working on a big surprise as my first ever giveaway! The post will be up on Friday and I can't wait to share it with you ladies!

- now to the fashion -

My weekend was pretty relaxing; therefore, I didn't take any pictures for this week's posts. This was actually my Christmas Day outfit and I'm just now getting around to posting it .... tsk tsk.

Top & Belt: Target // Tank: Ann Taylor LOFT // Pants: Old Navy // Necklace: Cornucopia // Boots: Steve Madden

Has anything super exciting happened to you lately?

Oscar Fashion

Ladies & Gents Awards Season is officially upon us

As I've mentioned time and time again, working in Entertainment PR definitely has it's pros and cons:

PRO: Get unlimited free wine
CON: There's not really a con to that ...

PRO: Attend award shows and after parties
CON: Attending parties 5-6 nights a week gets REALLY tiring

PRO: Meet celebrities and VIP guests
CON: A celebrity/VIP you respect is a total let down ... I'm looking at you Morgan Freeman

With the Golden Globes and SAG awards behind us we're full steam ahead for the Grammy's and Academy Awards. One of our clients is the wine representative for the Oscar's and the Emmy's so for one night we get to be all dolled up (in a color other than black ... woo hoo!) and feel like a true Hollywood VIP for a hot second.

The Emmy's was a ton of fun last September and you can read about it here; however, I'm really looking forward to working my first Academy Awards! The fashion has been on point for the major award shows in 2014 and I'm sure the Oscar's will be the cream of the crop when it comes to designer duds.

As much as I would love to be wrapped in Gucci, Tom Ford or Zac Posen let's be real, I'm a poor mouse and can't afford that! Luckily there's an awesome online site which offers GORGEOUS, top of the line gowns for an extremely affordable price. I'm talking about 1dress.co.uk!
Aren't these stunning?

When the company reached out to me and told me I could pick out a dress for my big occasion I was floored! I scrolled through their site numerous times (with a huge smile plastered on my face) and finally decided on these for my top 6. I took to my Instagram account after that to see which one my friends/followers liked. The middle white one was a top contender but all in all ...

This was the Winning Look!
I'm absolutely in love with this Egyptian style dress! It's perfect for me to wear because the front and top are conservative, yet the back and high slit give it a "sexy" factor! I adore the dress in white, but seeing as how I'm paler than Edward Cullen I decided to get it in a dark emerald green! I can't wait for this beauty to show up at my door step!

Which dress do you like? Do you think I made a good decision?

Shorts in January?

Happy Thursday Dolls!

Can you believe we're 3 weeks into 2014? It's mind boggling to me that today is Thursday as well. My whole week has been off kilter thanks to good 'ol MLK Day.

What also is crazy is the weather we're in experiencing in LA. I'm super grateful for blue skies and sunny days, but it feels a little odd being in the upper 70's low 80's in the middle of January! I took these photos 2 weeks ago, yes you read that correctly, these were taken the second week of January after returning home from back East.

Completely in love with this shot

Dr. D and I explored Griffith Observatory and thought it was the perfect opportunity to test out my new Canon T3i Rebel camera I got for Christmas. We're still working with the photo settings, but I must admit I do love how much better the clarity is on these!

Sweater: Forever 21 // Tank: Ann Taylor LOFT // Shorts: American Eagle // Necklace: Versona // Shoes: Jack Rogers // Spike Bracelet: Sage K and Co // Watch & Spike Bangle: Juicy Couture // Infinity Bracelet: Zinnia

I'm also very excited to be one of the three bloggers featured on Three fer Thursday today! Three fer Thursday is a weekly linkup hosted by Meghan at Everyday Fashion & Finanace and Bethany from Perfectly Coutured! If you haven't checked out their linkup before you need to head over there NOW and meet some fabulous new bloggers :)

Hipster-esque Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Being a southern girl, preppy tends to be the fashion way I lean towards, NOT hipster. But alas every now and then it's good to step out of your comfort zone!
Booties that don't match my outfit? Unheard of ...
Not doing a damn thing to my hair besides letting it air dry? Sheer madness ...
White Tee: LOFT // Plaid Shirt: Target // Leather Pants: ANGL // Booties: Just Fab // Sunnies: Ray Ban // Earrings: Francesca's Collection // Necklace: J. Crew // Gold Link Bangle: Forever 21 // Spike Bracelets: Sage K and Co & Juicy Couture

Needless to say I may not have totally nailed the hipster look, but it was fun trying something different!

Have you ever tried something totally out of your element?

This week's featured look comes from Chelsey at Patti Cake

Her winter-white look is SPOT ON with touches of gold in her accessories. Everything from her gold nails, adorable Kate Spade sunnies and gorgeous booties is perfection. Way to rock it Chelsey!

Mix It Monday's With Fizz & Frosting!

Happy Monday Dolls!

I know for most of the country it's freezing and I hate to brag, but LA has been pretty darn beautiful the past couple of weeks. Wearing shorts and heading to the beach in January seems barbaric, but hey someone has to do it!

Today I'm very excited to be co-hosting Mix It Monday's with Lauren from Fizz and Frosting! When I first starting blogging, Lauren was nice enough to answer all of my ridiculous questions and support me from the get go. If y'all haven't checked out her blog you're missing it out on a great lady with fabulous fashion tips!

I honestly couldn't wait to wear my houndstooth skirt again, so this was the perfect opportunity to mix things up a bit! This time I paired it with a neon salmon top, bigger statement jewelry and classic black flats.

Top : Gap // Skirt: Target // Necklace: Prep Obsessed // Earrings: Sassy Shortcake // Flats: Tory Burch

Here's how I previously wore my houndstooth skirt. Get the outfit details here!

Blazin' into Winter with Le Stylo Rouge

To get over the sappiness of yesterday's post, I've teamed up with one of my new favorite gals, Ashley from Le Stylo Rouge, to discuss blazers!

Any woman who works in PR knows that you're wardrobe consists of a TON of black. I'm not much into the whole "pant suit" thing so I create the look with black denim skinnies and a blazer, Voila!

I'll add in a pop of color and some texture varieties (gold glitter belt and snake skin shoes) to spice it up a bit, but keep it professional with minimal accessories.

Blazer: Banana Republic // Blouse: Forever 21 // Denim: American Eagle // Heels & Belt: Target

I'm in love with Ashley's look (and her amaze-balls ombre hair!) The leather top is nothing short of gorgeous and the way it ties in with her burgundy tuxedo blazer is sheer perfection!

Pairing it with gray acid wash skinnies and sky high black stilettos makes this the ultimate transition outfit from work to happy hour with the girls. Who wouldn't want to buy this hottie a drink?

Get Ashley's outfit details here and make sure to show her blog some love :)
