Stylish Tuesday + Malibu Wines

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

It truly is April Fools Day for me, last night I slammed my finger in my girlfriend's apartment door after dinner and that sucker is still throbbing!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and your Tuesday is starting out fantastic! I had a lovely weekend celebrating my two year anniversary with Dr. D! We kept it very low key and ventured out to Malibu Wines but I'll post a full recap about my anniversary on Thursday :)

Over the weekend I was super excited to see two more apartments in LA but as before, both were a bust (for different reasons) but new opportunities are slowly showing up. I still have 2 months to find something, but this process is already becoming too stressful for my liking!

- Back to the fashion-

It's been rather chilly in LA terms lately and I for one don't mind it a bit. The weather is about to skyrocket into the high temperatures here and I'll constantly be living in shorts and sundresses; therefore, I'm wearing my jeans and chiffon blouses until it's too hot to handle!
I loved the way the gold flats and belt tied everything in together and really brought out the chain and links in the bubble necklace! Not to mention the amazing backdrop, Malibu Wines has some seriously adorable prop pieces all over their stunning grounds!
I took about 5 photos in front of this sign. I absolutely loved it!
The back detail on this top is super chic in my mind
When Dr. D snags these candid shots they end up being my favorite. Anyone else feel that way about unintentional shots?

I'm so glad Stephanie stopped by and linked up because I am now officially obsessed with her blog! She's always on some kind of fun adventure, or posting a flawless outfit post which looks completely effortless just like the one above. Such a simple striped dress with a fun statement necklace and clutch but when all put together it makes for one incredible look!

East vs West Coast Style: Pastels

Happy Thursday Loves!

I'm so excited for today's post because it's Round 2 of the East vs. West Coast Style Remix! The gorgeous Floridian Pamela and I are back and this time around we're talking Spring Pastels!

I shamefully have to admit that I completely spaced to take my photos ahead of time and literally bribed my beloved Dana to rush over to my house to take these. I've never taken night shots, she had never shot at night ... but needless to say I think they turned out great for what we had to work with!

I love any and every chance to wear pastels. The pale colors automatically make you look tanner and maybe it's just me, but they generally put me in a better mood. I wear SO much black and navy for work so it's nice to switch it up a bit!
When Pamela and I had initially decided to do pastels I immediately had 3-4 outfits run through my head. Fast forward to the night I took these photos and my mind went BLANK. I had a mint skirt paired with a hot pink tank but that seemed too much and a white short with a baby blue tank seemed too Summer-like. I was thrilled when I stumbled across this paisley pencil skirt because it's one of those items you completely forget about until you see it. Don't worry folks, this beauty will be in FULL rotation for Spring!
Isn't the little cut out in this top fun?!

Movin' on over to the East coast, Pamela looks like a straight up bombshell in her all mint ensemble with a pop of black in her gorgeous ankle strap heels!

If y'all haven't headed over to Sequins and Seabreezes then seriously what are you waiting for?! I kid, but in all seriousness Pamela's blog is one of my favorites! Her photos are always stunning, but her writing is what sucks me in -- whether she's talking about the changes in Florida's weather, vacation plans or just a random fashion tip you truly feel like you're having a conversation with one of your best girlfriends.

Just for shits and gigs I had to share this candid photo Dana caught last night: Hope your Thursday just got a little brighter!

xo, Paige

Stylish Tuesday: Mint + Gray

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Over the weekend I attended my first blog event and literally had the most incredible time! Keep a look out for an event recap post next Wednesday :)

In other news, my apartment hunt is still on-going. I've viewed a couple of places thus far, but nothing is seeming to really "click." Why is it that finding a place to live which you can afford and you love is so darn difficult? Oh LA (Shaking my fist) sometimes I truly loathe you.

My fabulous friend Dana is back to show off her handy work. She took these photos at LACMA as well and I truly love them. I also adore this gray, mint and sparkle combo I have going on. Yes, I just tooted my own horn -- toot toot!

Fashion Tip: If you're short like I am you have the luxury of buying capris and wearing them as pants. Add a little roll and you have the perfect cuffed pant!

This week's featured blogger is Debbie from Fashion Fairy Dust!

I absolutely LOVE Debbie's multi-colored maxi skirt! It's so flattering and the pattern reminds me of a water color painting. The fact that she paired it with a neon cardigan and fun statement necklace really pulled it all together. You rocked it love!

Oscars and Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Ladies!!

I attended the Oscars on Sunday for work and had an absolute blast! Seeing so many respectable celebrities be so charismatic and humbled by their awards was truly awe inspiring.

I was running SUPER late for the awards and left my house without the key essentials (ID, money oh and my Oscars credential pass) but did manage to take some photos for this lovely blog. After Dr. D took this fab last minute photos I realized my camera card wasn't in the camera .... FAIL. Clearly I'm running extremely late at this point and managed to squeeze in some shots via my iPhone. Long story short I apologize for the poor quality of these photos.
Also a huge shot out to my roommate for making my hair look amazing!

I was approached by a wonderful company, 1 Dress Co, who offered to make me feel like a princess on my big night. They had a website full of stunning, glamorous gowns and I had the pleasure of choosing one to wear to the Oscars. It was a hard decision but I couldn't pass up on this stunning gown, I mean look at the back!

This week's featured blogger is Rachelle from Pinksole!

Camo will always be on trend in my opinion and Rachelle is rocking this camo jacket! I love how simplistic the whole look is but the way she added a pop of color and a gorgeous pointed heel at the same time was pure genius!

Hipster-esque Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Being a southern girl, preppy tends to be the fashion way I lean towards, NOT hipster. But alas every now and then it's good to step out of your comfort zone!
Booties that don't match my outfit? Unheard of ...
Not doing a damn thing to my hair besides letting it air dry? Sheer madness ...
White Tee: LOFT // Plaid Shirt: Target // Leather Pants: ANGL // Booties: Just Fab // Sunnies: Ray Ban // Earrings: Francesca's Collection // Necklace: J. Crew // Gold Link Bangle: Forever 21 // Spike Bracelets: Sage K and Co & Juicy Couture

Needless to say I may not have totally nailed the hipster look, but it was fun trying something different!

Have you ever tried something totally out of your element?

This week's featured look comes from Chelsey at Patti Cake

Her winter-white look is SPOT ON with touches of gold in her accessories. Everything from her gold nails, adorable Kate Spade sunnies and gorgeous booties is perfection. Way to rock it Chelsey!
