Patriotic Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Dolls! 

To say I'm ecstatic for the Fourth of July would be the understatement of the year. I love everything about this holiday and am really looking forward to celebrating it with some of my closest friends! I have no idea what we're doing yet, but I'm assuming it will involve beach volleyball, refreshing drinks and catching some rays before watching the gorgeous firework displays!

To show off my love for the good 'ole U S of A, I figured a patriotic outfit was definitely a must! eShakti sent me this dress and y'all it's seriously amazing! I feel like a stepford wife when I wear it and want to twirl non-stop because the bottom was simply made for twirling!

If you like a top  but wish it had sleeves, that's just one click away! Wish the length of the dress was a little longer, boom you can do that too! The possibilities are endless and it's truly great that a site like this exists. 

Not only can eShakti customize the way your dress, top or skirt looks, they can also CUSTOM FIT it to your body. Say what?! This was amazing news for me because I have a petite waist with bigger hips/thighs and it's incredibly difficult to find a great fitting bottom for my frame. I gave them my measurements and let me tell y'all, this dress fits like a glove and is completely flattering! 

Have I still not sold you? Then let me blow your mind one last time. EVERY single dress and bottom piece has pockets! Y'all who doesn't love pockets? I mean they only make everyone's life a tad bit easier ...

East vs West Coast Style: Pastels

Happy Thursday Loves!

I'm so excited for today's post because it's Round 2 of the East vs. West Coast Style Remix! The gorgeous Floridian Pamela and I are back and this time around we're talking Spring Pastels!

I shamefully have to admit that I completely spaced to take my photos ahead of time and literally bribed my beloved Dana to rush over to my house to take these. I've never taken night shots, she had never shot at night ... but needless to say I think they turned out great for what we had to work with!

I love any and every chance to wear pastels. The pale colors automatically make you look tanner and maybe it's just me, but they generally put me in a better mood. I wear SO much black and navy for work so it's nice to switch it up a bit!

When Pamela and I had initially decided to do pastels I immediately had 3-4 outfits run through my head. Fast forward to the night I took these photos and my mind went BLANK. I had a mint skirt paired with a hot pink tank but that seemed too much and a white short with a baby blue tank seemed too Summer-like. I was thrilled when I stumbled across this paisley pencil skirt because it's one of those items you completely forget about until you see it. Don't worry folks, this beauty will be in FULL rotation for Spring!

Her photos are always stunning, but her writing is what sucks me in -- whether she's talking about the changes in Florida's weather, vacation plans or just a random fashion tip you truly feel like you're having a conversation with one of your best girlfriends.

Oscars and Stylish Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Ladies!! 

I attended the Oscars on Sunday for work and had an absolute blast! Seeing so many respectable celebrities be so charismatic and humbled by their awards was truly awe inspiring. 

I was running SUPER late for the awards and left my house without the key essentials (ID, money oh and my Oscars credential pass) but did manage to take some photos for this lovely blog. After Dr. D took this fab last minute photos I realized my camera card wasn't in the camera .... FAIL. Clearly I'm running extremely late at this point and managed to squeeze in some shots via my iPhone. Long story short I apologize for the poor quality of these photos.  

Also a huge shot out to my roommate for making my hair look amazing!

I was approached by a wonderful company, 1 Dress Co, who offered to make me feel like a princess on my big night. They had a website full of stunning, glamorous gowns and I had the pleasure of choosing one to wear to the Oscars. It was a hard decision but I couldn't pass up on this stunning gown, I mean look at the back!

Holiday Leopard with Ashton

Happy Monday Y'all!

I hope everyone had a phenomenal weekend! I celebrated my birthday (extremely early) and watched a ton of football with Dr. D. Still can't get over the Eagles vs. Lions game continuing to play in 8+ inches of snow. Sheer madness!

Today I'm teaming up with the wonderful Ashton from Ashton Wears Things to show you how we wear leopard during the holiday season!

I love how Ashton styled her black blazer and leather leggings with pops of gold and leopard! Such a great twist on the all black and leopard combo and perfect for the holidays!

I have my fair share of brown/black leopard tops, but for the holidays I wanted to spice things up a bit with some red leopard. I paired it with a white skirt and a skinny belt (glitter of course!)

With the holiday parties in full swing, I switched out my plum purple mani for a emerald green to feel more festive!
