Cobalt Blue & Stylish Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Lately I've been obsessing over cobalt blue! I went on a major shopping spree a couple of weeks back for my cousins wedding in Dallas, and ended up with 4 cobalt blue dresses! It didn't hit me until I went to hang them up in my OCD color coordinated closet and they all went into the same section ... don't know which is more embarrassing, a color coordinated closet or that I indeed bought 4 dresses the same exact color in one shopping trip!

This was initially one of those stated dresses I bought for the wedding. I adore the 3/4 length sleeves and how flattering the fit and flare style is. The small horizontal lines added texture to the dress and felt amazing to rub my hand up and down my arm (guilty as charged, because y'all know I did that all day long!)

I didn't end up wearing it to the wedding (because let's be honest, I would have died in the Texas heat y'all!) but I did wear it to a work meeting last week and got loads of compliments. Best of all, it was a steal for less than $25 from Forever 21!

When it came to accessorizing this beauty, I kept it very simple. Normally I love to layer necklaces, add a watch to literally every outfit and pair with statement earrings on top of it all but honestly, this dress speaks for itself.

I added a waist belt to break up all of the blue and tie in my nude/rose gold heels. The statement earrings matched so perfectly, I had to showcase them by putting my hair up and letting them be the star of the show!
If you know me, you know that I'm a sucker for a good arm party. Most people feel naked without their phone and while I too am one of those people, if my left wrist isn't stacked and my right wrist doesn't have a hair tie, my whole day is caught off balance.

You gals get it, hair ties are an essential wrist accessory and you never need it until the one time you do and your trusty rubber band isn't there ... whomp whomp!
Ladies, these heels are EVERYTHING! The heel is a perfect 3 1/2 inch height so you don't feel like you're going to break your neck as you walk around. The cut out's are on trend along with the textured leather and metallic rose gold heel. My favorite part is the ankle support - I truly feel like I could run a mile in these puppies.

Shout out to my blogger bud, Adri from Adri Lately for helping convince me these bad boys needed to be purchased. I don't even know why I was contemplating now!

Total Betty Society

Happy Wednesday Dolls!

As you saw in last Wednesday's post, I'm clearly addicted to statement jewelry! I started out buying it at high end boutiques in Charleston then came down to reality and realized there are plenty of other places to buy fun jewelry that will jazz up your outfit without breaking the bank!

Versona and Charming Charlie are my absolute favorite stores because they display the jewelry by color making it that much easier to find exactly what you're looking for. Sadly I've only seen these stores in the South so if someone knows where I can find one out West ... hook a sister up!

I mean look at that perfection y'all ... it's like I've gone to jewelry heaven!

Since I can't always hit up my favorite stores, I do more online jewelry shopping than I should admit! Groopdealz always has amazing stuff for a fraction of the price, but my absolute go to store is Total Betty Society! They're logo alone, (I'm a sucker for the infinity sign and even have a tattoo of it) had me sold and from that moment I knew this brand and I were going to click like college sorority sisters at a frat mixer. They have an array of product - over 500 items - which ranges from $20-$50! Here's a few of my favorites:

Total Betty Society's founder Jessica was a young girl working the typical desk job after college in a drab wardrobe. She incorporated fun accessory pieces to make her professional attire still fit her bubbly personality and soon after realized that was her calling and ta-da TBS was born! Check out their blog and Youtube page for more fun facts and great tutorials about this insanely adorable and affordable line!

As if this brand couldn't get any better, it seriously does. When you sign up you instantly get a $10 credit, but if that's not enough just refer a friend to become a member and you earn another $10 credit PER FRIEND! Y'all I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!

Because my infinity logo-brand is now one of my absolute faves I want it to become one of yours as well I'm offering a coupon code to get this party started. Simply enter PARTY25 at checkout and score 25% off

I deeply apologize to your bank accounts because they're about to be pretty darn angry with you; however, your closet will be SUPER happy!

Stylish Tuesday: Mint + Gray

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Over the weekend I attended my first blog event and literally had the most incredible time! Keep a look out for an event recap post next Wednesday :)

In other news, my apartment hunt is still on-going. I've viewed a couple of places thus far, but nothing is seeming to really "click." Why is it that finding a place to live which you can afford and you love is so darn difficult? Oh LA (Shaking my fist) sometimes I truly loathe you.

My fabulous friend Dana is back to show off her handy work. She took these photos at LACMA as well and I truly love them. I also adore this gray, mint and sparkle combo I have going on. Yes, I just tooted my own horn -- toot toot!

Fashion Tip: If you're short like I am you have the luxury of buying capris and wearing them as pants. Add a little roll and you have the perfect cuffed pant!

This week's featured blogger is Debbie from Fashion Fairy Dust!

I absolutely LOVE Debbie's multi-colored maxi skirt! It's so flattering and the pattern reminds me of a water color painting. The fact that she paired it with a neon cardigan and fun statement necklace really pulled it all together. You rocked it love!

LACMA, Stripes and Spots Oh My!

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

This week has already been a whirlwind and it's only Tuesday ... lord help me survive Oscar season!
Be on the look out for a great post this Friday on how to throw an AWESOME at home viewing party and be eating/drinking exactly what all your favorite celebrities are indulging on!

 - But back to the present -

I'm honestly so excited for this post! My girlfriend Dana has been wanting to test her photography game for quite a while now; however, our schedules just conflicted -- until this weekend. I got my hair done (WAY overdue) and knew this was the perfect opportunity to not only show off my new blow out, but to also let Dana work her magic. Let me tell y'all she didn't disappoint!
This is definitely my new favorite outfit!
I love a good black and white combo, but add in a print mix with some glitz and I am an ecstatic girl
Between knowing all the settings on her camera, where the perfect lighting was and the directions she gave me on how to pose -- I literally was overwhelmed and felt like a superstar!

Thanks again to Dana you completely rocked this shoot!

This week's featured blogger is Rebecca from Red Tag Chic Los Angeles!
I absolutely adore Rebecca! She's not only one of the sweetest girls I've come across in blog land, but her style is seriously killer y'all. She rocked her navy Wallis coat and those red pumps? I'd break both my ankles if I walked in a heel that high but she looks nothing short of fierce!
Hope to cross paths with you one day in LA pretty girl!
