Oscar Fashion

Ladies & Gents Awards Season is officially upon us

As I've mentioned time and time again, working in Entertainment PR definitely has it's pros and cons:

PRO: Get unlimited free wine
CON: There's not really a con to that ...

PRO: Attend award shows and after parties
CON: Attending parties 5-6 nights a week gets REALLY tiring

PRO: Meet celebrities and VIP guests
CON: A celebrity/VIP you respect is a total let down ... I'm looking at you Morgan Freeman

With the Golden Globes and SAG awards behind us we're full steam ahead for the Grammy's and Academy Awards. One of our clients is the wine representative for the Oscar's and the Emmy's so for one night we get to be all dolled up (in a color other than black ... woo hoo!) and feel like a true Hollywood VIP for a hot second.

The Emmy's was a ton of fun last September and you can read about it here; however, I'm really looking forward to working my first Academy Awards! The fashion has been on point for the major award shows in 2014 and I'm sure the Oscar's will be the cream of the crop when it comes to designer duds.

As much as I would love to be wrapped in Gucci, Tom Ford or Zac Posen let's be real, I'm a poor mouse and can't afford that! Luckily there's an awesome online site which offers GORGEOUS, top of the line gowns for an extremely affordable price. I'm talking about 1dress.co.uk!
Aren't these stunning?

When the company reached out to me and told me I could pick out a dress for my big occasion I was floored! I scrolled through their site numerous times (with a huge smile plastered on my face) and finally decided on these for my top 6. I took to my Instagram account after that to see which one my friends/followers liked. The middle white one was a top contender but all in all ...

This was the Winning Look!
I'm absolutely in love with this Egyptian style dress! It's perfect for me to wear because the front and top are conservative, yet the back and high slit give it a "sexy" factor! I adore the dress in white, but seeing as how I'm paler than Edward Cullen I decided to get it in a dark emerald green! I can't wait for this beauty to show up at my door step!

Which dress do you like? Do you think I made a good decision?

xo, Paige

  1. WOW you have such a cool job I had no idea. What exactly do you do in the Entertainment PR and do you get to attend all these Award Shows you mentioned? I am also curious to know why Morgan Freeman was a let-down? =D

Love the Gown you chose, though all of them are so pretty. The color sounds amazing also and cannot wait to see you on it. Take lots of photos. =)

    1. Our firm represents high end hotels in Beverly Hills, a winery who is present at The Oscar's and Emmy's and a bunch of non-profit organizations. Those are my favorite because I feel like I'm giving back in more ways than one.

I just really adored his work and when I met him he wasn't what I thought. I'll spare you the draining details!

  3. Oh my gosh, your job sounds so amazing.. I've always heard that about meeting your heroes haha. I have a huge crush on Jennifer Lawrence and I don't know if I'd want to meet her given the chance. But she seems so goofy and down to earth!

I love that dress site! I keep telling my husband how I wish I had balls to attend all the time haha

    1. I'm very thankful and grateful I have a job where I get to do what I love :) If I meet J Law at the Oscars I might just die ... I have a total girl crush on her too!

Isn't that site the best? You and your hubby should go to one! They're so much fun to actually see live because you see the screw ups, messed up lines, funny things during commercial breaks etc. I'm really looking forward to seeing Ellen host!
