Holiday Leopard with Ashton

Happy Monday Y'all!

I hope everyone had a phenomenal weekend! I celebrated my birthday (extremely early) and watched a ton of football with Dr. D. Still can't get over the Eagles vs. Lions game continuing to play in 8+ inches of snow. Sheer madness!

Today I'm teaming up with the wonderful Ashton from Ashton Wears Things to show you how we wear leopard during the holiday season!

I love how Ashton styled her black blazer and leather leggings with pops of gold and leopard! Such a great twist on the all black and leopard combo and perfect for the holidays!DSC_0550 DSC_0575_2DSC_8265

I have my fair share of brown/black leopard tops, but for the holidays I wanted to spice things up a bit with some red leopard. I paired it with a white skirt and a skinny belt (glitter of course!)

With the holiday parties in full swing, I switched out my plum purple mani for a emerald green to feel more festive!

Stylish Tuesday #3

Over the holiday weekend I flew to Las Vegas to meet up with my family. I was beyond thankful I didn't experience a Diane in seat 7A ...

I haven't seen my family in 6 months so it was such a refreshing weekend to get to relax, enjoy a show and gamble with my dad.

How did you spend your Thanksgiving weekend? I hope it was filled with lots of love, friends/family and incredible food!
My favorite look from last week was Vicki from Wilde in the City! That sweater dress? I die!

5 Fall Trends

FALLFall is full of fashion transitions and I personally can't wait to start being able to actually wear them ... that's a hint to you Mother Nature!

I think it's pretty fair to say that almost everyone's favorite trend this season is leather. It makes you look edgy and cool without trying too hard.

Leopard is one of those insanely brillant prints because it basically becomes a neutral. Pair it with black, tan, brown and any other color you can imagine. It will ALWAYS match.

It took me a while to jump onto the loafer bandwagon, and I'm pretty upset about it. I have 2 pairs now and they're way more comfortable/easier to break in than any other pair of flats I've ever owned. Also the animal print ones melt my heart because they're too stinkin' cute.

I don't own any aztec print yet, but this pastel cardigan from tobi.com is going to be purchased STAT.

I'm a notorious nail biter, (gross and embarrassing), so whenever I get my nails done I try to go for a polish for the season. Right now I'm obsessed with OPI's Charmed I'm Sure. The plum color is perfect for Fall!

1 Piece, 2 Ways: California Girl Edition

I'm so excited to introduce the 1 Piece, 2 Ways: California Girl Edition with all of y'all! Once a month the lovely Lauren from Style of One's Own and I will show you how we wear one piece, but styled in our own way! Obviously given the name we're both California girls (Lauren born and raised, while I just moved here last spring) who have similar feminine & preppy styles!

We both paired the leopard top with black and gold accessories, yet our looks are so different. Lauren's pants are to die for (not to mention they show off her killer figure) and I love how chic the entire look is due to minimal accessories!

I don't dress "edgy" that often so when we decided to do a leopard top I immediately  knew I wanted to pair it with my new faux-leather skirt. Since the outfit was a bit urban, I took the pictures in my parking garage because the ruggedness seemed to match the outfit perfectly! Please forgive the white bandeau, it was supposed to hide my bra not look like one!

Pop of Color

I woke up this morning and did my typical routine: Hit snooze 2 times, checked the weather on my phone and started to plan my attire for the day in my head. I went to my pants drawer and forgotten all about this hidden yellow gems I scored during the post-Christmas sales! I've yet to wear them and figured today was the PERFECT day to bust them out.
