Total Betty Society

Happy Wednesday Dolls!

As you saw in last Wednesday's post, I'm clearly addicted to statement jewelry! I started out buying it at high end boutiques in Charleston then came down to reality and realized there are plenty of other places to buy fun jewelry that will jazz up your outfit without breaking the bank!

Versona and Charming Charlie are my absolute favorite stores because they display the jewelry by color making it that much easier to find exactly what you're looking for. Sadly I've only seen these stores in the South so if someone knows where I can find one out West ... hook a sister up!

I mean look at that perfection y'all ... it's like I've gone to jewelry heaven!

Since I can't always hit up my favorite stores, I do more online jewelry shopping than I should admit! Groopdealz always has amazing stuff for a fraction of the price, but my absolute go to store is Total Betty Society! They're logo alone, (I'm a sucker for the infinity sign and even have a tattoo of it) had me sold and from that moment I knew this brand and I were going to click like college sorority sisters at a frat mixer. They have an array of product - over 500 items - which ranges from $20-$50! Here's a few of my favorites:

Total Betty Society's founder Jessica was a young girl working the typical desk job after college in a drab wardrobe. She incorporated fun accessory pieces to make her professional attire still fit her bubbly personality and soon after realized that was her calling and ta-da TBS was born! Check out their blog and Youtube page for more fun facts and great tutorials about this insanely adorable and affordable line!

As if this brand couldn't get any better, it seriously does. When you sign up you instantly get a $10 credit, but if that's not enough just refer a friend to become a member and you earn another $10 credit PER FRIEND! Y'all I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!

Because my infinity logo-brand is now one of my absolute faves I want it to become one of yours as well I'm offering a coupon code to get this party started. Simply enter PARTY25 at checkout and score 25% off!

I deeply apologize to your bank accounts because they're about to be pretty darn angry with you; however, your closet will be SUPER happy!

Stylish Tuesday #3

Over the holiday weekend I flew to Las Vegas to meet up with my family. I was beyond thankful I didn't experience a Diane in seat 7A ...

I haven't seen my family in 6 months so it was such a refreshing weekend to get to relax, enjoy a show and gamble with my dad.

How did you spend your Thanksgiving weekend? I hope it was filled with lots of love, friends/family and incredible food!
My favorite look from last week was Vicki from Wilde in the City! That sweater dress? I die!

Leather Details & Stylish Tuesday #2

Happy Tuesday Loves!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is the day after tomorrow? Neither can I! The month of November has not only flown by, but 2013 has been a complete blur for me as well. It's starting to finally cool off in Southern California so I was so excited to be able to bust out my leather leggings and vestique top.

So sorry I missed last week. I came down with a dreadful cold which was no bueno.
My favorite look from 2 weeks ago was Erin's from Simply Just Lovely! Her entire look reminded me of the 1950's and I thought it was incredibly chic.

5 Fall Trends

FALLFall is full of fashion transitions and I personally can't wait to start being able to actually wear them ... that's a hint to you Mother Nature!

I think it's pretty fair to say that almost everyone's favorite trend this season is leather. It makes you look edgy and cool without trying too hard.

Leopard is one of those insanely brillant prints because it basically becomes a neutral. Pair it with black, tan, brown and any other color you can imagine. It will ALWAYS match.

leopardheel // belt // scarf // clutch

It took me a while to jump onto the loafer bandwagon, and I'm pretty upset about it. I have 2 pairs now and they're way more comfortable/easier to break in than any other pair of flats I've ever owned. Also the animal print ones melt my heart because they're too stinkin' cute.

I don't own any aztec print yet, but this pastel cardigan from tobi.com is going to be purchased STAT.

I'm a notorious nail biter, (gross and embarrassing), so whenever I get my nails done I try to go for a polish for the season. Right now I'm obsessed with OPI's Charmed I'm Sure. The plum color is perfect for Fall!

Dressing for the Oscars

One of our main clients finally got the A-Ok that we will be working the Academy Awards once again this year! This was such a fun and exciting moment for me because I had so much fun at the Emmys and all of the pre-parties, but now I get to go to the Academy Awards with Hollywood's elite? Someone pinch me because I'm living a Los Angeles fantasy!

After the inital news shock went away the first thing I thought of was,

"WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?!"

I barely pulled a last minute outfit together for the Emmys, so this year I am starting NOW. Brides shop months in advance for their big day gown, so why can't I for the Oscars?!

I stumbled across Prom Dress: The Best Online Shop and instantly fell in love. Not only are their dresses extremely afforabable, but y'all they have had some big time celebrities wearing their stuff. I'm talking Selena Gomez, Anna Kendrick and more! I scanned the website and was amazed by how many stunning gowns they had to offer.

I've narrowed it down to these beauties:

Which dress do you like best? I'd love any and all opinions on this one!

Guest Blog: Lauren from Style Elixir

Hello gorgeous readers of Life's a Party, Dress Like It! I'm Lauren, the creator and editor of Style Elixir, a fashion, beauty, fitness and lifestyle blog. I am thrilled to be here today while the fabulous Paige is living it up in New York, I thought it was such a great story that her boyfriend won a trip from being on The Price is Right!

So along that same theme, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite beauty products, which have a price tag that's just right! Over the years, I've tried many different brands and products - some expensive but amazing (Cle de Peau Concealer, I'm referring to you!) and some that are still fabulous, yet less than half the price. On quite a few occasions, I have discovered the less expensive brands when it's been a makeup emergency and I can't get to a proper department store (yes, they do exist! When it's Friday night and you're leaving for a weekend away on Saturday morning and whilst packing your foundation, realize you actually have none left. Now that is a code red).

On the weekend, I faced a primer situation. The bottle is colored, so you can't see inside and after one teeny tiny pump, there was no more to be had. I know you may be thinking a primer is no big deal, but once you've used one, it's hard to go without! So I went to the local store in search of something (anything!)... and actually struck gold. Inspired by this, I thought I'd share some of my fave makeup finds for babes on a budget...

PRIMER: L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer. This luminous fluid goes on so light and dries quickly, forming a fantastically smooth base for makeup. The light-reflecting solution imbues a 'lit from within' look that I simply adore and I found it helped my makeup stay put over the course of a long ten hour day at the office.

MASCARA: Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal Mascara. I am such a fan of this mascara! I've tried many others, including premium collections like DiorShow Black Out, but always seem to go back to this one. Not only is it a great price, but the brush and fluid are fabulous too. I find it's easy to apply, doesn't clump and lasts all day. It comes in two main colors, Classic Black and Glam Black. I've tried both and now use the Glam Black version, it seems to give a wet-look style and really deep black color. I also only use the non-waterproof variety, there's nothing worse after a long day than spending forever trying to get your mascara off!

LIPSTICK: L'Oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick in Radiant Rose. As a YSL Lipstick devotee, I admit I have spoiled myself with amazing lip color (I use this one in #13 Le Orange after reading it's Kourtney Kardashian's go-to color!). However, I stumbled across this L'Oreal lipstick one day and have been somewhat addicted ever since. It's the perfect pink color and ideal mix between lipstick and gloss - all the benefits of an amazing punch of color, combined with the comfortable moisturizing elements of a gloss!

BRONZER: Physicians Formula Rejuvenating Face Powder in Bordeaux Bronze. I've used many different bronzers and seem to be eternally searching for the perfect color. I adored this one and found it was so smooth, adding the perfect build-able finishing touch. This bronzer also has red and white wine extracts and is said to help fight visible signs of aging.

POWDER: L'Oreal Translucide Naturally Luminous Powder. I often use M.A.C Mineralize or Clinique Blended face powder, however I've found this L'Oreal one measures up really well (I'm using it at the moment). Can you tell I like a bright, dazzling complexion? This is another product that has light-reflecting, luminous characteristics and with the added benefit of Vitamin C (which I am obsessed with for skin), it not only looks good, but is good for you too!

Do you have some go-to makeup favorites that aren't crazy expensive?

It's been so great to be here today, thank you Paige! If you're looking for a daily dose of sparkle and inspiration, head over and say hello to me at Style Elixir! I adore chatting to my readers over email, Twitter or Instagram and would love to meet you!

Hi - Low Flow

I'm simply just not ready to stop wearing dresses and wedges ... no sir-y bob! I ordered this dress from Francesca's last Winter and ever since it has become my "go-to" dress. Not only is it perfect for Sunday brunch with the girls, but just throw on a jean jacket and you're ready for a Wednesday night happy hour. Put on a leather jacket instead and I'm instantly concert ready, throw on a blazer and it's perfect for work! The possibilities are endless!

The flowy skirt makes me want to twirl like a ballerina because it's so feminine and fun! I wear this dress far more than I ever should, but hey can you blame me?!
