Friday Gameday Part 2

I woke up SUPER early last Saturday to pick up my mom from the airport and completely forgot to take pictures for the blog. Hence these are taken with NO makeup and NO hair product. Please don't judge too harshly!

Keeping in the Friday Gameday edition theme, this is a perfect example of what I would wear to the bar to watch some pigskin. It's cool, comfy and the slogan on the back is pure perfection!

Emmys Creative Arts Ball Outfit

As you all know, I got the chance to go to the Emmys Creative Arts Awards & Ball last Sunday with my darling mother. We had a fabulous time but looking back at the picture of the two of us, it makes me feel tall for once; however, also VERY pale. My mother is half Italian and it definitely shows!

- Naturally going to a huge function such as the Emmys, I had to sneak in some blog pictures! -

My roommate morgan has been a complete gem since I made the courageous move to LA. I couldn't have asked for a more loyal friend, better person to vent to on my off days and someone who makes living in the real world together seem like we're back in college. She did my hair for the event and I couldn't have been more thrilled with the outcome! Oh, and did I mention she BLOGS too? Make sure to read her take on the paleo diet one meal at a time here. Emmy's Creative Arts Ball

Living in Los Angeles almost every person you know works in the entertainment industry. There's pros and cons to every job, but honestly I couldn't feel more blessed to be working in Entertainment PR. Not only do I get to go to lavish red carpets events such as the Emmys & Oscars, but I also work for non profits during award season which is extremely liberating and rewarding. Every so often I get to take a guest to these events which is a fabulous job perk.

My mom flew into town and I was beyond excited to take her to her first red carpet event: The Emmys Creative Arts Awards & Creative Arts Ball. I told her to pack a cocktail dress because we were partying on Sunday, September 15 and she happily obliged. This will be a night we'll both never forget!

Needless to say, my mother and I had a phenomenal time. We got to see Bob Newhart win his first Emmy at 84 years old, someone drop their Emmy and have the ball roll off stage and watch stars run down the aisle in order to make the most of their 45 second speech time limit!

Friday Gameday!

For the remainder of  football season, I'm going to devote every Friday to college game day fashion. It's going to include everything from what to wear at the tailgate party to how to look adorable in a sports jersey at the bar with the boys! Football brings people together and is the best sport EVER to watch in my opinion. There's just something about football and beer that can't quite be topped by any other sporting event.

My team of choice is the South Carolina Gamecocks! We're coming off of two really good season's but had a tough loss last week against UGA. We'll shake that off and be ready for Vanderbilt tomorrow though don't you worry!

Blazin' Into Fall

Working in Public Relations/Events means wearing a TON of black. Since award season is upon us I've been trying to wear as much color as possible before I'm forced into the "all black" world again. This peach dress is perfect for the office and has front pockets which come in handy more often than I ever thought they would!

Even though Fall is "officially" here it's still ridiculously warm in LA so wearing a blazer seems almost ludicrous; however, whenever I step into a building the AC is so strong it's as if I've been blown into Antarctica. Blazers are perfect for layering and make work attire look that much more chic.
